Université Paris Panthéon Assas and the Centre de Recherche en Économie et Droit (CRED) are pleased to host the 9th annual conference (call for papers) of the Association Française d'Économie du Droit (AFED), to be held on

December 12 and 13, 2024

The aim of the conference is to provide a venue for discussion and exchange for all researchers and professionals interested in themes that can be analyzed through a multidisciplinary approach in law and economics.

Submissions: closed

Parallel sessions, as well as plenary sessions and round tables, will be offered in both French and English.

The keynote lecture will be given by Lewis A. Kornhauser (New York University).

The AFED Young Researcher Prize (€1,000) is awarded for a paper presented at the conference. A "young researcher" is defined as a person enrolled in a doctoral program or having defended his/her thesis less than 10 years before the date of the conference. A full paper must be submitted at the time of application. If writing with a senior co-author, the young researcher specifies his/her contribution. If writing with one (or more) other young researcher(s), the prize is awarded jointly.

Two articles may be selected for possible publication in the special European Associations issue of the European Journal of Law and Economics.

Subject to acceptance, in order to present a paper at the AFED annual conference, it is necessary to be a member of AFED and to pay the AFED membership fee. You must also pay the specific conference registration fees, detailed in the call for papers.
